Following the release of their second electronic EP in 2023, “Fred Scamps & Stereo Flames” takes us on a new journey with “Ailleurs.” The compositions are skillfully orchestrated by an international team of musicians, who transport us to the far reaches of a musical galaxy.
Carried by the rich tones of the Hammond B3 & Leslie cabinet. The Mellotron strings herald the end of an actual world right from the introduction and blend with the sounds of the theremins “Noir spatial” & “C’est la vie”. This is the beginning of a multicolored adventure.
This album takes us to a distant paradise made of musical notes and kindness. Fire and air are ever-present in Stereo Flames music; we find them throughout the album in “Bandit” a cosmic escape, and in “Face à Face” which symbolizes wide-open spaces and travel.
Joined by Stanislas Grimbert on drums, Myles Week plays on double bass on “Mardi Gras à Belleville”. Nicolas Bogue on guitar and bass, along with Arnaud Gazaignes on guitars for “Destination Champagne”; Fred Scamps plays the Hammond B3 organ and keyboards, as well as guitar on “Face à Face.”
George Shelby transports us into the stratosphere of the tenor sax on “Noir Spatial.”
Fred Scamps will perform at « Le Zèbre de Belleville » in Paris, France on 24th September surrounded by Stan Grimbert on drums, Clémence Gaudin on bass and Romain Fitoussi on guitar and Saxophone.
