Stereo Flames is the brainchild of Paris-based Hammond B3 player and multi-instrumentalist Fred Scamps — a project that channels the spirit of the classic 60s instrumental singles of Booker T. Jones and Steve Winwood into something entirely its own.
Rooted in a deep love for soul music, Stereo Flames stretches that foundation into uncharted territory — spiced-up soul, far-off landscapes, and the kind of grooves that feel both timeless and cinematic.
Heading To Cali takes you on a sun-drenched ride from the beaches of California straight to 125th Street, deep in the Harlem of the 1970s. Suspended drifts into the bayou, where the spirits move slow and heavy. Spacesonic launches into the outer reaches of a nocturnal universe, where the only compass is the rhythm.
Fred Scamps is joined by Fred Jimenez on bass, Olivier Ferrarin on drums and Arnaud Cazaignes on guitar.
